Just like with the Digital Eyewitness® video system, the NXT offers many of the same features and optional upgrades. This system features up to three minutes of pre-event recording, Sony’s smallest Exview HAD CCD camera and effortless software updates.
A few of the optional upgrades include the Sure Talk 900 MHz transmitter, automatic crash record activation, in car mic and covert rear-seat facing camera.
HALT Testing - Like all Kustom video products, Digital Eyewitness NXT has been subjected to Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), which exposes the components to multi-axis vibration and shock, as well as rapid and extreme temperature changes. This testing helps identify any design weaknesses and allows them to be corrected before going to market. Given the challenges of recording digital media in a patrol car, HALT testing was critical to ensuring that the development of this product was successful.
