INDEPENDENCE COMMUNICATIONS COMPLETES VILLAGE OF CUYAHOGA HEIGHTS’ POLICE DEPARTMENT DISPATCH CENTER
Independence Communications Inc., a wireless systems integrator located in Cleveland, recently completed the move and installation of a 3-position dispatch center in Cuyahoga Heights, Ohio.
“We are very excited about successfully completing this project,” said Don DiGeronimo, president of Independence Communications Inc. “We have a long-standing relationship with the Village and always look forward to provide the highest value possible.”
The Village of Cuyahoga Heights recently built a new police department, and the existing equipment and infrastructure for the police department needed to be moved and re-installed.
Independence Communications moved and installed this 3-position dispatch center, which included a Motorola radio system and touch-screen console to control the jail cells and main entrance doors. From this location, the on-duty officer can control and maintain the entire jail from one digital console.
Independence Communications also installed the furniture for the dispatch center, which included a motorized lift to adjust the on-duty officer’s workstation. The furniture and dispatch center allows the police department to have greater control over the safety and daily functions of the police department and jail.
The cost for this project totaled approximately $150,000. Independence was the original company contracted to install and implement the system.
